Route from Seattle to the race start/finish area at the Cedar Falls Trailhead of the
Iron Horse State Park.
On Google Maps the address for the race start/finish area is 18740 Cedar Falls Rd SE, North Bend, WA 98045
From Seattle:
Drive East on I-90 from Seattle about 30 miles.
Take the 436TH AVE SE exit- EXIT 32.
Turn R off the exit ramp onto 436th Ave SE, which soon becomes Cedar Falls Road SE.
Go 3.0 miles.
Turn L into the Cedar Falls trailhead of the Iron Horse State Park.
From Seattle allow about 45 minutes.
From Tacoma:
Drive North on I-5 about 8 miles.
Take exit 142A onto Highway 18 towards Auburn and North Bend and go 28 miles to I-90.
Take I-90 Eastbound and go about 7 miles to exit 32.
Turn R off the exit ramp onto 436th Ave SE, which soon becomes Cedar Falls Road SE.
Go 3.0 miles.
Turn L into the Cedar Falls trailhead of the Iron Horse State Park.
Allow about an hour from downtown Tacoma.
If the Cedar Falls trailhead parking lot is full (we need to reserve about a dozen
places for other park users) then go back down the road a tenth of a mile to the
entrance of the Rattlesnake Lake Recreation area parking.
Turn L into the lot, then bear L through a gate.
(Note: if using Google maps, the turn into this alternate parking area is equivalent to 18620 Cedar Falls Rd SE, North Bend, WA 98045)
Go 100' and turn L in front of a blue sign which reads 'Rattlesnake Lake Recreation Area Regulations.
Go 0.15 miles and turn L into parking area just before two red and white 'Do Not Enter' signs.
Park in the upper gravel parking lot. The Start/Finish area is about 100' up a trail from the upper
side of the gravel parking area.
