Not sure what kind of gull this is. I'd guess Herring from the mantle and wingtip color except for the rather dark eye and the P9 window (which western Herring usually lacks). Too much black in wingtip for Thayer's.

Probably a Glaucous-winged x Herring based on nearly-black wingtips with just a trace of P9 window, and eye color intermediate between Glaucous-winged and Herring.

A pale-eyed Thayer's Gull? Possibly a Herring x Thayer's though the wingtips are paler than I would expect with that combination.
