Photos of birds at GogLeHiTe Wetland in Tacoma, WA from Feb and Mar, 2011
In February 2011, Wayne Sladek introduced me to the GogLeHiTe wetland along the Nisqually River at the Lincoln Ave bridge. I went back several times in the next month or so to photograph gulls and other birds. A rendering plant just north of the site attracts a variety of large gulls, mostly Glaucous-winged but also Thayer's and Herring and various hybrids, which I've tried to photograph and identify.
