Photos from marathon 1 of the Tahoe Triple, Sept 27, 2007
Day 1 of the Tahoe Triple marathon runs down from the Emerald Bay overlook, along the commercial strip of South Lake Tahoe CA, behind the casinos of Stateline NV and north along the lake to finish with a 4 mile, 700' hillclimb on busy highway 50. Great scenery but lots of traffic for most of the course. Aid was somewhat sporadic but adequate thanks to Barefoot Todd's assistance. Beautiful weather, cool and sunny. I took my time on the first half and finished in 4:55 overall.
