As I enter the school room in the house in Auburn I see Jesus across the room by the garage door and feel grateful and relieved that he has decided to come back. He is standing in the middle of lines of toy trains which he has apparently been arranging. As I walk across the room towards him, he steps to one side over the trains but does not say anything and I suddenly realize something important about him, perhaps that he is shy or maybe socially awkward and does not make friends easily, and perhaps also that he would like to be my friend.

Is this a God dream or not, I'm not sure. The toy trains could symbolize the affairs of humankind, over which according to some people, God exercises control. Some people also believe that when Jesus returns, he will straighten everything out. For many years I believed that I was in a relationship with Jesus, though in recent years, not so much. He has seemed to be silent, a phenomenon which this dream perhaps attempts to explain. His return in the dream may demonstrate his desire to be my friend; my gratitude for his return in the dream symbolizes what, wishful thinking?
