Darchelle and I are appointed to do Scripture and prayer for church. She will read the Scripture, which is Mark 4:4-6, and I will offer the prayer though as we wait for our turn I become uncertain as to whether I am supposed to pray or to give a talk about prayer. I consider what I would say. Perhaps I will attempt to explain how prayer is an intimate conversation with God or perhaps I will just suggest that if prayer works for them, they should do it.
We stand up together to read and pray and suddenly I realize that I have no shirt on. Alarmed, I look over at Darchelle and she also is naked from the waist up, perhaps in solidarity with me, but she has a hairy and muscular chest like a man.

Darchelle and I talked this one over at the time but now, months later, I don't remember what we concluded. What I can come up with now is that the dream is exploring the possibility of our engagement with the church which was formerly so important to each of us. What we now have to offer may not be appropriate, and may render us unfit for the church community of our past, but at least we have each other.
