We spent a few days in the White Mountains in NH in late April. A few summer birds had returned - Eastern Phoebes, Eastern Bluebirds, Yellow-rumped warblers, Tree Swallows and perhaps a few others - but Coltsfoot was the only wildflower I found blooming and no leaves were emerging yet.
