On a cloudy Friday afternoon I hiked up to Lake Lillian to see if the Boletus edulis in the vicinity of the Twin Lakes were fruiting yet. They weren't despite much wetter conditions than last fall. Still quite a few flowers out and a few patches of snow around the lake. Clouds enveloped the Mt Margaret ridge around 4:30 as I left the lake and light rain began to fall shortly before I reached the car two hours later.
