There was also a skateboard race running on the closed lane of the highway, and bicyclers headed the opposite direction. I don't know about the bicycles, but the skateboarders were having some trouble with the icy sections - some of them gave up and walked after their skateboards skidded out from underneath them on the ice. At least one of these guys looks pretty comfortable though.
