After running the
Pocatello Marathon I drove over to Driggs Idaho and ran the Teton Trail Marathon at the Grand Targhee ski area in Alta Wyoming the next day. It was a tough run, 5000' vertical gain/loss on trails, service roads and about 3 miles of pavement. I walked much of the course and finished in just under 7 1/2 hours, my slowest yet. Leslie, Claude, Chris and Jim Collins also did the double; all finished ahead of me although Leslie by only a second - we ran together quite a bit of the race. Beautiful scenery and weather.
