The course for the Light at the End of the Tunnel marathon runs from the Hyak trailhead on the east side of Snoqualmie Pass (50 miles east of Seattle, WA), through the 2.3 mile long Snoqualmie Tunnel then down the John Wayne Pioneer and Snoqualmie Valley rail trails to North Bend. Total descent is 2000', ascent 30'. In 2009 the marathon will be held in mid-June when the weather is usually, but not always, cool and cloudy. The course is USATF certified (Id #WA08031MW) which makes the Light at the End of the Tunnel marathon one of the fastest Boston qualifiers in the country.
