Backpack trip to Meander Meadow, Oct 1, 2010
Jeff and I camped two nights at Meander Meadow along the Cascade crest between Stephen's Pass and Glacier Peak at the beginning of October. During our day in the high country we hiked up Indian Head peak a couple of miles north of our camp. We had beautiful weather and the fall colors were at their peak. We saw a bear browsing on huckleberries (which were scarce) and spotted numerous hawks migrating south along the ridges.
